In Ellie and Lou and The Meaning Of Friendship by Kiana Sosa, we are introduced to a mother and a baby elephant named Ellie and Lou. Times were hard for the elephants and she had lost a lot of her family when they got separated from their herd. In the end, the jungle became a stronger place with all the animals helping one another. I thought that Ellie and Lou and The Meaning of Friendship was a very sweet and educational read. It teaches children that helping one another out is a good and kind thing to do. The illustrations were also beautifully done and accompanied the story perfectly. Kiana Sosa has created a wonderful children’s book that kids will appreciate and love.

Kiana did a marvelous job with her story and explaining to us her perspective about the friendship meaning. It is amazing to see an emerging author write with such consistency and anthenticity. My niece and I loved it.

Elle and Lou is a beautiful story that teaches children about diversity, teamwork, and friendship. It is beautifully illustrated with lots of colours and details. The author, Kiana Sosa, did an amazing job describing the characters and their emotions. Definitely one of our favorite children’s books.
